Scooter Move
The unu Scooter Move is the lower-cost sibling of the Scooter Pro. Identical on the outside; completely different inside: instead of the in-house design with MDB, DBC, and Bosch/Lingbo ECU, the Move has a Fardriver motor controller and otherwise China-OEM-standard components. No built-in modem, no cloud connectivity from the factory, no central Linux control unit.
What this means in practice
- Sunshine does not support the Move. There's no MDB for Sunshine's telemetry client (radio-gaga) to talk to.
- librescoot does not apply. librescoot replaces MDB and DBC firmware; neither component exists in the Move.
- Adjustments to the motor controller are possible via Fardriver's own tooling. The Fardriver platform is well documented in the DIY e-scooter community; many parameters (speed limit, torque curves, etc.) can be tuned.
- Mechanical repairs are covered by Pro body parts. Mirrors, reflectors, fairings, seat: identical or compatible.
Current status at rescoot
The Move is documented on rescoot.org for reference; we don't have a dedicated software stack for it. If you're working on a Move, the Discord is the right place: Fardriver configurations, tuning, and hardware mods come up regularly there.
